ISAE SUPAERO

The ISAE-SUPAERO campus offers outstanding learning and research environment located in the heart of the thriving Toulouse scientific complex. The  institute’s scientific policy for aerospace systems focuses on five core areas :

Integrated design for system performance and operation security

Models and optimization for energy efficiency, the environment, and competitiveness

Earth observation, environmental monitoring, and space exploration

Telecommunications, resilient, connected cyber-physical systems and networks

Data analysis, decision-making sciences, and mastering complexity.

Come visit our facilities and meet our researchers and engineers.

MEDES

MEDES is an Institute for Space Medicine and Physiology based in Toulouse, France. MEDES works to develop in Europe a competence in space medicine and physiology and to accelerate innovations in health by promoting synergies with the space sector. Its activities are based on three main themes: Explore, Innovate, and Evaluate.

As part of its clinical research activities, MEDES operates the Space Clinic, where ground-based weightlessness simulations are carried out, using bed rest and dry immersion models. During this visit, MEDES will present the content of its activities, the interest in the two simulation models and their implementation and will propose a visit of its infrastructure.

CNES Toulouse: Discover the Heart of Space in Occitania

Created in 1968, the Toulouse Space Centre is the largest technical and operational center of CNES, the French space agency, and interacts with the French national and international space ecosystems.

Over 1,700 employees and around 800 industrialists design, develop, test, and qualify the space systems of tomorrow. From imagination to operations, our engineers, managers, technicians, and collaborators bring all their skills to satellite and balloon projects. They also develop the use of spatial data for the benefit of all with innovation and creativity.

Visit technical laboratories for the analysis of materials, tests, or demonstrations of space applications, control centers, and data processing infrastructures: this visit will immerse you in the heart of the installations and invite you to meet the people who make the heart of space in Occitania.

Tour of Toulouse

The “Heritage Stroll”, a guided tour from 18:00 to 19:30, departing from the hotel

This tour offers a panorama of the main sites and monuments for a first discovery of the city. During this walk, you will discover the Place du Capitole, the Saint-Sernin Basilica, numerous churches and private mansions, and, along the Garonne River, you will enjoy splendid views of the emblematic monuments of Toulouse.

Thales Alenia Space’s Toulouse

Thales Alenia Space’s Toulouse plant brings together 2,650 people in a 27-hectare area featuring an industrial surface of 100,000 sqm. The facility also includes 9,500 sqm of clean rooms. The industrial site is involved in a wide range of space activities:

– The most complex telecoms payloads ever built are designed, assembled, integrated, and tested here. Iconic programs: Konnect VHTS, SES-17, and constellations such as Globalstar, O3b, Iridium NEXT, with more planned in the future

– Worldwide reference in radar altimeters (CryoSat, Jason family, SARAL-Altika, SWOT)

– Navigation systems (Galileo, EGNOS)

– Ground segments dedicated to telecommunications, Earth Observation (Copernicus) & Navigation.

Cité de l’espace

The main Science Centre in Europe dedicated to space offers a unique perspective on the world’s space achievements. Created by Toulouse Metropolis and supported by major space stakeholders, la Cité de l’espace is a must-see for a visit in the framework of IAC! The IAC group will be personally welcomed, and the visit will be tailor-made for this very specific occasion.
